Valerie Dehn scored 15 points and Nadia Burks added 11 to lead UC Irvine to a 59-52 Pacific Coast Athletic Assn. victory over UC Santa Barbara Thursday at Santa Barbara.
Erin Higashi had 12 rebounds for the Anteaters (1-0, 9-5).
Center Kira Anthofer had 19 points and 11 rebounds to lead the Gauchos (0-2, 5-10).
In California Collegiate Athletic Assn. action:
Chapman 66, Cal State Dominguez 53--Leone Patterson scored 26 points and had 15 rebounds to lead the Panthers. Valerie Hartsfield added 16 points for Chapman (2-1, 11-5). Dominguez’ Kim Williamson scored 16 points. The Toros are 0-3 in league and 5-12 overall.
