Micheal Ray Richardson of the New Jersey Nets was released from a California drug rehabilitation center after undergoing treatment for a cocaine problem, a source close to the team said.
Richardson was admitted to the center early this month after admitting on Dec. 31 that he had again used cocaine. It was his second offense under the league’s drug policy. He was suspended Jan. 2 without pay.
