Regarding trying to find Gene Siskel and Roger Ebert’s TV show “At the Movies” in Los Angeles (“Movies Annex, Jan. 12), KABC has struck again.
Having scheduled “The 10 Best Movies of 1985” for Jan. 11 and “The Worst Films of 1985” for Jan. 12, the brain-dead at KABC aired the latter both times.
Gene & Roger, find another affiliate out here fast; these exercises in frustration are even worse than not seeing you at all.
RICHARD M. NELSON
Los Angeles
What happened this time, according to a station spokeswoman who keeps insisting that Channel 7 loves the show, was that “The Best Movies” ran only at 1:30 p.m. Sunday. “The Worst of ‘85” ran at both 4:30 p.m. Sunday and 7 Saturday night, when it replaced “Big Spin,” the state lottery show, which was pulled at the last minute (that’s another complicated story). Nelson missed the “Best” show Sunday. This weekend is just as crazy, but Nelson can watch “The Worst of ‘85” again today at 1 p.m. or see a new episode including a review of the film “Revolution” at 4:30 p.m.
