Your editorial notes that the term voodoo economics was applied in 1980 to Candidate Reagan’s promise to balance the budget, cut taxes and raise defense spending--all at the same time.
Maybe we ought to constantly remind voters of the common warning against confidence schemes: If it sounds too good to be true, it probably isn’t.
