Cal Lutheran Beaten, 87-65, by Point Loma

Point Loma Nazarene College beat Cal Lutheran, 87-65, in a non-conference game Tuesday in San Diego.
The Kingsmen managed to get within seven points in the second half after Steve Delaveaga scored 10 of his 16 points, but no closer.
Point Loma jumped out to a 10-0 lead in the first two minutes of the first half when Clayton Williams scored on three jump shots and Greg Lanthier hit a layup. Delaveaga’s eight-foot jump shot brought Cal Lutheran within three, 26-23, with 8:48 left in the half.
The Crusaders picked up the pace in the final minute of the first half, and Williams sank an 11-foot jump shot with 20 seconds left to put Point Loma ahead, 46-34.
