About 200 students and faculty in Hanover, N.H., occupied Dartmouth College offices and vowed to stay indefinitely to protest the destruction of an anti-apartheid shantytown by students. The sit-in prompted college president David McLaughlin to cut short an alumni tour of Florida to return to the troubled campus and called an emergency faculty meeting for today.
