Prep Boys’ Semifinal Sites, Dates Set

The Brea-Olinda High School boys’ basketball team will play its Southern Section 3-A semifinal game against top-seeded Ganesha on Wednesday night at Chino High School.
The 3-A semifinals had been scheduled for Tuesday night, but Brea’s game was moved up a night because the Wildcats’ girls’ team will be playing Walnut in the 3-A semifinals Tuesday night.
The other 3-A semifinal, pitting second-seeded Katella against third-seeded Hacienda Heights Wilson, will be played Tuesday night at Cypress College. In the 5-A semifinals at the Los Angeles Sports Arena Wednesday night, Edison meets Serra at 7 p.m. and Mater Dei plays St. Bernard at 8:45.
Top-seeded Capistrano Valley, which travelled to Moorpark College to defeat Rio Mesa in a 4-A quarterfinal game Friday night, will again be on the road against Simi Valley Tuesday night. Cougar Coach Mark Thornton could not confirm the game site Saturday night, but said that Pepperdine University is a possibility.
