Redondo Beach : Career Day at Schools
About 60 employees of South Bay companies will be visiting 10 public elementary schools today to talk about the importance of a good education in careers. Linda Mangers, a spokeswoman for the Redondo Beach City Elementary School District, said the visitors serve as role models to help youngsters form early career ambitions and understand what will be required to achieve their goals.
Today’s event is part of the district’s STEP (School Teams for Educational Partnerships) program in which area firms work with schools to help them turn out better-educated graduates.
