The Peninsula : Margate School Hearing
A citizens committee studying possible future uses of the closed Margate Intermediate School will hold the first of two public hearings at 7:30 tonight at the campus, 2161 Via Olivera in Palos Verdes Estates. A second session at the same time and location is scheduled for Wednesday.
Proposed uses for the campus, closed last spring by the Palos Verdes Peninsula Unified School District, include adult education, college classes, preschool and various community, recreational and church activities. Deed restrictions on the land prevent its sale as surplus school property.
