Harbor Beats Cerritos in JC Regional Playoffs

Center Kelvin Tyes had 23 points and 12 rebounds, and guard Craig Johnson had 20 points and 7 rebounds as Harbor College defeated No. 1-ranked Cerritos, 74-67, in the Southern California Regional community college playoffs Wednesday.
Cerritos led, 28-27, with 7:32 left in the first half, but Tyes and Kyle Lundy each had a three-point play to put Harbor up by five points. Cerritos was able to tie game, 67-67, with 1:50 left, but Tyes then connected on two free-throws to give Harbor the lead for good.
