Southern Section Soccer Playoffs : Four Unbeaten Teams in Finals

Four teams will bring unbeaten records into the Southern Section boys’ and girls’ high school soccer finals this weekend at Gahr High in Cerritos.
Huntington Beach Edison, the top-seeded girls’ 4-A team with a 25-0-2 record, plays unseeded Mission Viejo (22-3-2) at 6 tonight, and in the boys’ game that follows, top-seeded Simi Valley High (25-0-4) meets unseeded Alta Loma of Rancho Cucamonga (18-5-4).
On Saturday at noon, top-seeded Agoura (18-2-1) meets Calabasas (17-5-0), a wild-card entry, in the 1-A boys’ final, followed by the girls’ 2-A game at 2 matching top-seeded Agoura (20-0-2) against wild-card entry Oak Park (13-5-0). At 4, fourth-seeded Arcadia (20-1-3) will play unseeded Torrance Bishop Montgomery (18-6-1) in the girls’ 3-A game.
Saturday night, top-seeded Brea-Olinda (17-2-4) plays unseeded El Centro Central (20-2-0) in the 2-A boys’ game at 6, followed at 8 by the 3-A boys’ final between top-seeded Anaheim Esperanza (23-0-2) and second-seeded Burbank (24-1-0).
