La Jolla Volleyball Pair Pick Colleges

SAN DIEGO — Mindy Atkinson and Tania Warner, middle blockers for La Jolla High’s San Diego Section 2-A volleyball champions this season, have signed letters of intent to play college volleyball on opposite ends of the country.
Atkinson signed Thursday to play at Duke University while Warner signed to play at Pepperdine.
Also, Torrey Pines’ Jamie Wheat, another middle blocker, signed a letter of intent to play at Washington State.
