San Diego College Baseball : Middaugh’s Steal Gives Aztecs Win

Scott Middaugh scored on a double steal in the bottom of the sixth inning Thursday to give San Diego State a 4-3 win over Nevada-Reno in a Best in the West Tournament game at Fresno.
The Aztecs improved their record to 13-6. Nevada-Reno is 8-9.
San Diego State took a 3-1 lead in the fifth by scoring two runs, but the Wolf Pack rallied with two in the top of the sixth to tie it, 3-3.
In the bottom of the sixth, Middaugh scored while Joe Holvey beat the throw to second.
USIU 22, Eastern Connecticut 5--Mark Waters’ grand slam sparked a 15-run fourth inning as the Gulls (7-19) routed visiting Eastern Connecticut.
