Arcadia : Board Receives Grant

A check for $22,699 has been presented to the Board of Education by the Arcadia Educational Foundation, a nonprofit citizens group that raises money for educational organizations. The grant comes from proceeds generated by the foundation’s recent Mardi Gras, and will be used to buy classroom furniture and other equipment for schools throughout the district, the board said in its newsletter.
