Bell Gardens : Hotel Negotiation Sought

The Redevelopment Agency directed city staff to prepare an exclusive 90-day negotiating agreement between a developer and the city for a proposed hotel.
The agreement will be considered at the April 14 council meeting, City Manager Claude Booker said.
Sam Gilbert and Associates, based in Encino, is proposing a 150- to 200-room hotel with banquet facilities south of the Bicycle Club on Eastern Avenue. Booker said a hotel and motel study that the city commissioned will be partially complete by then and will be used to consider any proposals the city receives.
