WASHINGTON — The State Department has released a chronology showing that there were 28 terrorist attacks against Americans last year, more than at any time in the 13 years covered by the report.
In addition, the 25 Americans killed in the attacks last year exceeded the total for any year except 1983, when 241 servicemen were killed in the bombing of the U.S. Marine barracks in Beirut, according to the report, released Monday.
