Deaver Receiving Confidential Copies of Reagan Schedule

WASHINGTON — Former White House aide Michael K. Deaver, now the operator of a lucrative lobbying firm, receives a copy of President Reagan’s confidential appointments schedule every day, a spokesman for Reagan said today.
White House deputy spokesman Peter Roussel said that Deaver, who is a close confidant of Reagan and his wife, receives the same presidential schedule that is distributed to the White House staff.
It contains on- and off-the-record listings. Roussel said that “much of it is the same as is distributed to the press.”
The White House press corps receives a copy every evening only of Reagan’s on-the-record appointments for the following day.
