Police still have no leads in the slaying of a woman who was found Wednesday by her husband in a hot tub behind their North Hollywood home, authorities said Friday.
An autopsy determined that Heidi Katlan Scarbrough, 34, died from strangulation and that a contributing factor to her death was the immersion of her head in water, Los Angeles County Deputy Coroner Phil Spada said.
The victim’s body was discovered about 7 a.m. Wednesday when her husband, Ron Scarbrough, 33, returned home after spending the night with friends, police said. The house is in the 3800 block of Ridgemoor Drive.
