Datametrics announced it has received a $1.3-million contract from Raytheon Co. to make computer printers for the Air Force.
The Chatsworth-based company, which had sales for its fiscal year ended Oct. 31 of $13.3 million, makes printers used primarily in tanks, on ships and in jet fighters.
Under the contract, Datametrics is to deliver 33 high-speed printers and nine small printers to Raytheon over the next two years.
They will be used in the Milstar satellite communications program, a planned jam-proof, global communications system that is to link all the U. S. armed services by the 1990s.
