Six Orange County Players on State All-Star Baseball Roster

Six Orange County high school players have been selected to the Southern California team that will play in the North-South State All-Stars baseball series beginning Friday night at Billy Herbert Field in Stockton.
Esperanza catcher Eric Cox, Laguna Hills pitcher Wayne Helm, Irvine first baseman Bobby Hamelin, Fountain Valley third baseman Jim Doyle, Esperanza outfielder Emmitt Cohick and Los Alamitos outfielder Robbie Katzaroff were named to the team.
La Quinta’s Dave Demarest, Poway’s John Harmon and Westchester’s Ron Kasparian are the coaches for the team. The three-game series continues on Saturday night and Sunday afternoon.
