COLOMBO, Sri Lanka — The Sri Lankan government clamped a nine-hour curfew on the northern Killinochchi district Sunday, saying it has information that Tamil guerrillas plan a new attack on a military camp.
More than 20 guerrillas and soldiers have been killed in fighting at Killinochchi since Wednesday, when 100 guerrillas attacked the camp, about 200 miles north of Colombo, the capital. Three were killed Saturday when troops fired at a guerrilla roadblock in the area.
