Lotus Development, the country’s largest independent software developer, said its earnings for the second quarter, ended July 5, increased 10%, while revenues rose 12%. Entre Computer Centers reported a loss for its third quarter, ended May 31, despite revenue growth of 7.9%. The company said it was reducing its work force in Europe by 30% and in the U.S. by 20%; those reductions contributed to an $11-million charge in the quarter for asset revaluations and special provisions. A fiscal-year loss is expected, the company said.
