Meese Report on Pornography
I wonder, now that the Commission on Pornography has concluded that sexually explicit films and photographs may incite sexually violent actions, if the President will appoint another commission to ascertain if movie and television violence precipitates violent crimes?
If this second panel decided that violence on television and in the movies encouraged violence, then would Atty Gen. Edwin Meese III endorse recommendations that would, perhaps, halt the production of such a movie as “Rambo,” which to me is violent pornography?
Government has no authority to go into either the minds or the bedrooms of its citizens.
