Two Students Share Top Prize in Competition

Kurt Hauffe and Erik Trabert, second-year students at Orange Coast College studying under architect Marvin Renfro, were awarded first place in the Community College Design Competition sponsored by the Orange County chapter, American Institute of Architects.
The competition theme was an addition to the Newport Harbor Art Museum. Seventeen entries were received.
Other winners included Vicki Bovard and Karla Krieger, Orange Coast College, second place; Robert Mann, Saddleback College/South Campus, third place, tied with Karl Schmidt and Bill Reizner of Orange Coast College.
Don Hepner, Orange Coast College and Linda Ellis, Saddleback College/South Campus, received honorable mention.
