A federal judge fined Litton Systems.

The judge ordered Litton Systems to pay $3 million in fines and $6.3 million in restitution as part of a plea agreement stemming from charges that the defense contractor defrauded the government over 10 years. The company, a division of Litton Industries of Beverly Hills, also must pay $250,000 to cover the costs of the government’s investigation and must place $2 million in an escrow account to cover the cost of any overcharging for labor.
