Temple City : Guard Admits Bomb Scare

A security guard at K-Mart, 5665 N. Rosemead Blvd., has been arrested on charges of placing fake bombs at the store Saturday and Monday. Gary Ayala, 24, of Rosemead has admitted he placed the devices inside the store on Saturday and in the parking lot on Monday, but a motive has not been established, according to a spokesman for the Sheriff’s Department. On both days the area was evacuated. Ayala has been released on $5,000 bail.
