PTA Councils Raising Funds for Children’s Activities Directory

LONG BEACH — The Long Beach and Los Alamitos PTA councils have kicked off a five-month fund-raising campaign that will culminate with the January publication and distribution of a directory listing and describing children’s activities in the city and nearby communities.
“KIDSGUIDE” will provide parents with seasonal information on a wide variety of recreational classes, sporting events and other activites.
The PTA, in order to cover start-up costs and an initial release of 10,000 copies of the directory, is seeking direct donations and sponsorships. “KIDSGUIDE” will eventually be sold at $5 a copy, $2 to PTA members. For more information or to make a contribution, call (213) 597-3861.
