Marina del Rey : Club to Honor Two at Dinner

The Boys and Girls Club of Venice will honor Lew Gravante and Pat Freed Kandel as the 1986 Man and Woman of the Year at a testimonial banquet on Sept. 10 at the new Marina Beach hotel.
Gravante, a Marina-based entrepreneur, has served on the Marina City Club’s Board of Governors for more than 10 years and has developed many service-oriented businesses in the area. Kandel, associated with the Marina office of Jon Douglas Real Estate, has helped deliver social services, supplies and food to the abused, battered and needy.
The banquet also will include the presentation of 18 scholarships, averaging $400 each.
