Boy Dies After Being Hit by Car

A 12-year-old boy died Thursday from injuries sustained when he darted into an Anaheim intersection and was struck by a car.
Steven John Berrier of Anaheim died at UCI Medical Center a day after the accident. Police said witnesses saw Berrier run into the intersection of Orange and Knott avenues against a red light. He was hit by a pickup driven by Russell Passmore, 46, of Buena Park, according to a police spokesman.
