Miami Dolphins fullback Woody Bennett missed the team’s meetings and practice, and Coach Don Shula said the eight-year veteran would be fined $1,000 for every day he is absent.
Bennett is protesting a lack of progress in the renegotiation of his contract. He is earning $180,000 a year and wants a raise to $225,000.
