Willie Crawford ran a reverse 56 yards for Beverly Hills’ first touchdown in the second quarter. . . . With six minutes left in the half, Beverly Hills’ David Benveniste intercepted a pass and went 50 yards untouched into the end zone. . . . Four minutes later, Crawford recovered a fumble by Harvard quarterback Mark Patterson, setting up a 35-yard field goal by Gary Melnik for a 17-0 halftime lead. . . . Harvard took the second-half kickoff and moved the ball from its own 20 to the Beverly Hills 11, but the drive stalled when Harvard failed to convert on a fourth and two. . . . Harvard’s Mark Patterson intercepted his second pass of the season, setting up Dominic Sandifer’s 31-yard field goal with 2 1/2 minutes left in the third quarter.
KEY PLAYERS
Dominic Sandifer (H) scored all of his team’s points for the second game in a row. He converted on field goals from 47 and 51 yards in last week’s 6-0 victory over Alemany. . . . Andy Bell (H) gained 61 yards on 13 carries. . . . Mark Patterson (H) completed eight of 25 passes for 92 yards and ran for 39 yards on 10 carries. . . . The Harvard defense shut down Bever ly Hills, allowing no net yards in the second half and only 131 total yards in the game. . . . Willie Crawford (BH) ran for 95 yards on 13 carries and scored one touchdown. . . . Larry Borglenghi (BH) completed three of five passes for 43 yards and was intercepted once.
