Shriver, Gadusek Head Tennis Field

SAN DIEGO — The Audi Challenge tennis tournament starts this afternoon at the Rancho Bernardo Inn with second-seeded Bonnie Gadusek playing Elizabeth Smylie at 2, followed by Zina Garrison against Carling Bassett.
On Friday at 2, top-seeded Pam Shriver will play Kathy Horvath, followed by Stephanie Rehe against Wendy Turnbull.In doubles play, the top-seeded team of Shriver and Smylie will play Gadusek and Horvath, with the second-seeded team of Bassett and Garrison playing Rehe and Turnbull.
The singles and doubles semifinals will be played Saturday at 1 and 7 p.m. The finals of the $100,000 event will begin at 11 Sunday morning.
