USD Goes Overtime to Beat Fullerton, 2-1

SAN DIEGO — Forward Drew Peloso scored with 40 seconds left in the second overtime period Wednesday to give USD (12-2) a 2-1 soccer victory over Cal State Fullerton (2-9-2).
Mark Fenick’s goal gave USD a 1-0 lead. Fullerton tied the score at 1-1 after 18 minutes in the second half when Jeff Willard scored from 30 yards out.
The Toreros, ranked seventh in the latest West Coast poll, will play host to Cal State Los Angeles Saturday.
