Dallas-based Enserch Corp. reported reported a profit for 1986, compared to a loss in 1985. The 1986 results include income of $8.7 million from the after-tax cumulative effect on years prior to 1986 of a change in the accounting method for Lone Star Gas Co.’s unbilled gas revenue. The change was made retroactively to the beginning of 1986 and previously reported quarterly amounts have been restated, a spokesman said.
