Mater Dei, Despite Ocean View Scare, Remains Atop Poll

Mater Dei High School, coming off its 53-48 victory over Ocean View in double overtime Saturday night, remained the top-ranked team in the Orange County Sportswriters’ Assn. prep basketball poll.
The Monarchs (20-1) will risk their six-season, 48-game winning streak in the Angelus League against St. Paul in Santa Fe Springs, Wednesday night at 7:30.
