A 19-year-old UC San Diego student whose body was found on Pomerado Road at 2:30 p.m. Monday suffered multiple gunshot wounds to the head, torso and arm, the San Diego County coroner’s office reported.
Homicide detectives are investigating the death of Cyrus Lam, who was found by a passer-by in a canyon about half a mile east of Scripps Ranch Road, police said.
Police are still searching for Lam’s black 1984 Chevrolet Corvette. The license plate number of the car is OTA TME, Police Department spokesman Bill Robinson said.
Nearby residents reported hearing noises coming from the area where Lam was found the night before his body was discovered, Robinson added.
