Man Shot in Head in Southeast Gunfight

An unidentified man was shot in the head Wednesday night when 15 rounds from several weapons were fired in a shoot-out in a Southeast San Diego neighborhood, San Diego police reported.
Police closed the 3200 block of Martin Avenue after the shooting, at 9:30 p.m. The man was taken to UC San Diego Medical Center.
Police Sgt. Jim Wallace said two weapons were recovered and two suspects were in custody at 10:30 p.m. A Sheriff’s Department helicopter was searching the area for other suspects.
Wallace said it may have been a drive-by gang shooting, and several weapons were fired by several suspects in more then one location. Police were investigating.
