Only 26 days remain for TV evangelist Oral Roberts to raise the $8 million he says God told him to raise, or perish in the attempt. Roberts’ supporters have begun a countdown to March 31, the deadline the 69-year-old evangelist said God had set for completing the drive to raise money for medical missionary scholarships. Roberts has faced criticism for his fund-raising practices. Last week, Roberts said he fought off an attack by the devil in his Kansas home.
