Los Alamitos Wins 100th in Tennis

The Los Alamitos High School boys’ tennis team won its 100th consecutive regular-season tennis match Friday, defeating La Quinta, 15-3, in the Griffins’ first match of the season.
Each of Los Alamitos’ top three players won 6-0, 6-0. David Magnuson, first-year Griffins coach, said the team plans a tougher nonconference schedule to tune up for the Southern Section playoffs. Los Alamitos was eliminated in the semifinals last season.
