A weekend sweep by police aimed at drunk drivers in North Hollywood nabbed 81 motorists suspected of driving while intoxicated, authorities said. The task force operation was the most recent in a two-year pilot program funded by state and federal grants to use the department’s Immediate Booking and Release System van, Sgt. Dennis Zine said. More than 400 drunk drivers have been arrested since the program began in January, he said.
