A man was found shot to death in the garage of a Southeast San Diego home Wednesday morning, police said.
The body of William P. Luttrell, 21, was found lying on a bed in the garage, in the 800 block of 49th Street, said police spokesman Bill Robinson. Luttrell had been shot in the head. Robinson said he was believed to be a transient.
Arrested in connection with the slaying was Joseph L. Sasser, 33, who lives at the house where the killing occurred.
Witnesses told homicide detectives that Luttrell and Sasser had been quarreling before police were called to the scene at 2:18 a.m., said Robinson.
Robinson said police did not know why Luttrell was at Sasser’s house and he would not discuss the nature of their quarrel.
