Ropak Corp., the Fullerton-based maker of reusable plastic containers, said it has ended its prolonged takeover bid for Buckhorn Inc., following the announcement by Myers Industries Inc. that it successfully closed its own tender offer for the maker of plastic containers based in Milford, Ohio.
“We’ve tendered our shares (to Myers), so Buckhorn is now something of the past,” Ropak Chairman William H. Roper said.
He said the company has tendered its entire stake in the company, which stood at 34% and amounted to more than 500,000 shares each of Buckhorn’s common stock and Series A convertible preferred stock.
