Axed by ABC in May, “Our World” will live again on the Public Broadcasting Service, it was reported Monday. New York PBS station WNET is finalizing plans to air the series, which focused on historical events. The show--destroyed in the ratings by NBC’s “The Cosby Show” and “Family Ties”--will be a joint production of WNET and Lucky Duck, the production company of former “Our World” anchor Linda Ellerbee. She will return to anchor the show. Although ABC owns the rights to the show’s name, producers hope to retain that name and plan to air 13 episodes beginning in January.
