Harry Truman Statue Restored in Athens

ATHENS — A life-size statue of President Harry S. Truman, knocked off its pedestal by a bomb blast in Athens last year, was replaced Thursday under tight police security.
The statue, paid for by Greek-Americans, was bombed by the leftist Christos Kassimis Revolutionary Group to protest an official visit to Greece by Secretary of State George P. Shultz in March, 1986.
