San Francisco Mayor Dianne Feinstein, in a move to improve Fisherman’s Wharf, has announced plans for a major fishing facility and public market at the popular tourist spot. The proposal includes new fishing boat berths and fish-handling facilities, a large public courtyard, a marketplace on Pier 45 and improvements to streets and sidewalks.
