University of New Mexico station FM station KUNM, a listener-supported National Public Radio affiliate in Albuquerque, is back on the air, but its audiences are less than happy about its format change from free-form rock to jazz and classical music. This disenchantment has taken the form of lawsuits (two so far), protests and phone and mail harassment for KUNM management. Last month, several weeks after the format change, university officials took the station off the air. The station is now back on the air, but on a limited basis.
