Executive to Head Red Cross Chapter

Richard Ortwein has been chosen chairman of the American Red Cross, Orange County chapter.
Ortwein, president of Koll Co.’s Orange County division, recently headed the committee that produced a long-range plan for the chapter. He succeeds Howard Bland.
Other board officers picked for the 1987-88 term include Robert Conway, a partner at Peat Marwick; Bernice Hird, manager of community relations for Beatrice Inc.; Joseph Perricone of Perricone and McClintock Insurance Co., and Stuart Wallach, an attorney with Wallach, Urias, Candless & Scott.
Richard Kopel, secretary-treasurer at Case-Swayne Co. Inc., will continue as secretary of the board. Bruce Feuchter of the law firm Stradling, Yocca, Carlson & Rauth is the chapter’s legal counsel.
