France to Send 3rd Mine-Hunting Ship

PARIS — France will send a third mine-hunting ship, the Vinh Long, to the Persian Gulf along with two other mine-hunters whose dispatch was previously announced, the Defense Ministry said today.
The three ships and a support vessel will leave the Mediterranean port of Toulon on Monday afternoon on a voyage expected to take about two weeks, a ministry spokesman said.
