A woman being sued for alleged libel and slander by two Houston police officers who scuffled with members of the New York Mets has filed a countersuit seeking unspecified damages.
Suzzanne Bonacci is seeking actual and punitive damages for embarrassment and damage to her reputation. Police officers Randal Gary Gresham and Dale Bristley filed a lawsuit last month against her, members of the baseball team and its management.
Bonacci testified on behalf of Met players Ron Darling, Tim Teufel, Bob Ojeda and Rick Aguilera concerning a scuffle outside a Houston nightclub July 19, 1986.
