Hewlett-Packard’s earnings rose 20% to $148 million in the third quarter. The Palo Alto company said orders were especially strong for its analytical, medical, peripheral and engineering workstation products. Revenue was up 14% to $2.054 billion. Orders increased 21%, the company said.
